Democrats (2,025 needed to win nomination)

Clinton: 783
Obama: 709
Edwards: 26

GOP (1,191 needed to win nomination)

McCain: 559
Romney: 265
Huckabee: 16

A couple notes.

First, on the Republican side, these are VERY conservative delegate counts for McCain, that don't involve him sweeping a lot of congressional districts in California.

But watch for those numbers to move (above 600, I estimate) and for Romney's total to decrease. As I write this, some places are already putting McCain above 600.

Second, the Democratic race is far from over, and I'm not sure it can end before the convention. These are two very evenly matched candidates, and they continue to divide the electoral map roughly equally.

The only saving grace is that over 70% of Democratic voters would be happy with either candidate. Incredible.
