More Democrats Take Joy From Gustav

I mentioned a few days ago that Michael Moore was happy about Hurricane Gustav's timing with the Republican National Convention.

Now it looks like former DNC Chairman Jim Fowler, and South Carolina Representative John Spratt, were also taking delight in Hurricane Gustav's appearance and timing. Video is here.

Fowler, caught on videotape, had no choice but to apologize.

Fowler also appears to fib in his apology, saying he was just sarcastically making fun of Jerry Falwell's post 9-11 statement that gays and abortion caused the tragedy.

But that appears false from the video, which has no mention of Falwell, and doesn't appear sarcastic in the least. It's a decent post hoc explanation, but it appears to be inconsistent with the video.
