: Becoming a LawyerTaking Bar-Subject Classes
By "Biff"
[N]o relationship existed between law school courseloads and the passage rate of students ranked in the first, second or fourth quarters of their law school class, while only a weak relationship existed for students who ranked in the third quarter. Overall, Rush writes, ?students in the upper two quartiles passed the exam at an extremely high rate and those in the fourth quartile failed at a high rate, regardless of which classes they took in law school.Hmm. I didn't really try to take bar classes in law school, except wills, which also covered a little CP and trusts, which I thought was helpful, even though it wasn't California law. And I also knew a bit of agency and partership from a business associations class, which were had to take. And also PR. Oh and also a First Amendment class and some secured credit. So apparently I've taken everything. Except water law.

Follow the leader
1L year, people break into their own cliques and do everything together. Sit in class together, eat together, study groups together, bar review together, spring break, etc. While I personally disapprove of it, the idea of spending your waking moments together with the same group of people is understandable, since you're all forced to take all your classes together with people in your section and need a support network to replace the old one you left behind in college...
