ADVERTISEMENTS
What can you say about such a tragedy? A strong, outspoken woman who wanted to help the people of her country find their voice was killed on Thursday, 12/27. Why do we always kill people who speak out for peace and understanding? John Lennon, Martin Luther King, Jr., Bobby Kennedy, John Kennedy, Mahatma Ghandi, Jesus... And those are just the most well known. What does that say about us as human beings?

Emerging from the tragedy now are the politics. Initially the Associated Press said that a doctor who had worked on her in the aftermath of the attack reported that she had been shot in the back of the neck, severing her spinal cord, as well as through the back of her shoulder. He said that they had tried open heart massage, but ultimately the cause of her death was the damage to her spinal cord.

Who should we believe? The doctor who worked on her, or Musharraf's government? Or maybe we should believe this video from CNN of someone firing a gun at her from behind. Or this one of her scarf suddenly moving and then her slumping as the 3 shots are fired.

What the hell...
