It?s crunch time for a lot of applications for summer internships around the nation. I?ve spent most of today tweaking personal statements to suit the peculiarities of each prospective organization. Career Services always tells you that you need to craft a unique personal statement or cover letter for each job so that you don?t give off the impression that, really, all you want is just a job, any job.
So basically they want us to lie.
