Walker?s ?Fireside Chat? Same Old Smoke

By Mike Hall

ADVERTISEMENTS

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) certainly isn?t listening to his Republican colleagues in other governors? mansions who say that public workers like nurses, snowplow drivers, teachers and others should be able to bargain for good middle class jobs.

In a so-called “fireside chat” tonight, Walker didn?t change his stance one bit. He  reiterated his goal to eliminate workers’ rights to bargain for good jobs in a speech that  EX=Z_4 tweeted “Well that was rambley #FOXnews talking points interspersed with “Im going to beat you up” bursts and no sign of a fire. #EpicFail #wiunion

He talked a bit about how he welcomed “civil debate.” But as Steffi5461 RT @sewmodern: I feel compelled 2 send @govwalker a dictionary so that he can familiarize hmslf w/def of DEBATE. #wiunion #notmywi.

We’ll bring you more reaction to his speech tomorrow.

The fight goes on.
