Senate Republicans have blocked needed health care sevices  for 9/11 first responders and recovery workers. In the words of Arizona Sen. John McCain, such legislation is just “fooling around.”

That’s not the way this country should treat those who unconditionally risked their lives to save others. In fact, it’s un-American.

Even though Congress is set to leave town any day, it’s not too late for lawmakers to pass the James  Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act passes. Send an emergency message to your Senators NOW. Urge them to pass the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act immediately.

Click here to the send the message.

The bill is named after a New York City police officer who died in 2006 from lung ailments. A coroner has formally linked James Zegroga?s death to the toxic air at Ground Zero. The bill would provide long-term medical care and monitoring for the first responders, recovery workers and others exposed to the Ground Zero.
