From elsewhere, but here too, is a story about courtship ending up in the courts and diamond rings. Local court case on "he said, she said" is reported in KANSAS CITY!
It all centers around an $18000 diamond engagement ring a Louisville man claims he gave a Texas woman along with the promise of marriage. Now, a Jefferson Circuit Judge has to decide which one of the two actually called the wedding off. ... Oddly enough, there was a similar Kentucky Court of Appeals case that originated from Jefferson County dating back to February, 1934. It was over a diamond engagement ring costing $450. ***
