DESERTEC in Morocco

The DII March newsletter reports about the first DESERTEC projects in Morocco.

Starting there makes sense since there is already a grid connection to Spain.

They are planning a 500 Megawatt project. 400 concentrated solar power and 100 photovoltaic. DII will be involved in the early planning stages, but not as a contractor. If things go well, electricity from that project could start flowing in 2015.
