Yesterday, Phil Barengolts and I started our winter LLM class at John Marshall on Trademark Litigation. We have a great group of students, including experienced practitioners (one student works at the USPTO and flies in once a week for classes at JM). In our first session we discussed the importance of knowing your client's goals, investigating, and creating a realistic strategy, especially in our times of high legal expense for litigation.
