: Dispatches from the Culture WarsTMLC: A Day Late and a Dollar Short
By Ed Brayton
I got a "news alert" from the Thomas More Law Center on Thursday informing me that the city of Frankenmuth had retained them to defend the city against a lawsuit about the city shield. The fact that the person who complained about the shield decided not to file a suit several weeks ago seems to have escaped their notice. Congratulations, TMLC. You've been retained for a case that isn't going to happen.
To make it even funnier, the Worldnutdaily wrote an article based solely on the press release that claims "Historic district fights to keep cross." Uh, not anymore. Is it really that difficult to keep up with the news? This is at least 3 weeks out of date. The punchline? They call it "breaking news."
