Kenneth Feinberg Not Neutral, Judge Rules

ADVERTISEMENTS

The headline in today's New York Times is:  "Fund Official Not Neutral, Judge Rules."  The judge's opinion is a victory for tens of thousands of oil spill victims who have been the victims of fraudulent settlements.  (If anyone knows how to create a link to the judge's opinion, please do so; as a VOP, I still haven't mastered that stuff, and my granddaughter isn't around to do it for me.)

Steve Gillers, who has not responded in this blog to  my criticisms of his expert opinion supporting Feinberg  and his unethical conduct, is quoted in the NYT as maintaining his defense of "the legal landscape of Mr. Feinberg's work [and] the fund."
