: Dispatches from the Culture WarsGretchen's Views on the Tiller Murder
By Ed Brayton
Gretchen Koch, who comments here simply as Gretchen, has begun writing a column about religion and science for the Dallas Observer. In her latest column she addresses the murder of George Tiller. As you may recall, she was the one who first informed me about the murder shortly after it happened because her parents were members of the church where it took place and were in the service when he was gunned down in the lobby.
Many of the ideas expressed in the column were already expressed in comments here, but she brings them all together there and adds some detail. It's all well written and well reasoned and very much worth reading.
