Ackerman on Jewish and Arab Food

By Ed Brayton

I think I'm developing a man crush on Spencer Ackerman, my Center for Independent Media colleague with the Washington Independent. Not only did he give the single best interview I've done on my radio show so far, the kind that leaves no doubt that this guy is not faking it, that he really knows his subject well, but he also writes incredibly well and is a fellow foodie.

Spencer belongs to this group called the Internet Food Association, a collection of liberal bloggers and writers in the Washington DC area who share their culinary exploits with a side of wry and some slow-cooked charm. They even have Iron Chef-style cooking competitions. Yes, this makes me want to move to DC just so I can join the group. I'm quite jealous over it.
