The 50th Anniversary of "To Kill a Mockingbird" is fast approaching

ADVERTISEMENTS

A news article alerted me to the upcoming 50th anniversary of publication of To Kill a Mockingbird, on July 11th.  The author, Harper Lee, pursued her law degree at Alabama but didn't obtain it.  (Legal ethics types will recognize the seminal contributions of Alabama to our legal ethics.)

My sense is that the enormous impact that the novel and film had on a generation of lawyers has dropped way off.  Any suggestions on how to ask or poll current students about their perceptions of the film? (Previously at this blog, we've commented on the critical views of Steve Lubet and Monroe Freedman.)
