Renee Lee reports, "Montgomery DA says funds used for liquor."After a month of denying rumors, Montgomery County District Attorney Michael McDougal now admits that money from his drug forfeiture account was used to buy alcohol for a community event his office sponsored. "I'm sorry. Very sorry," McDougal said on Monday. "I'm holding myself responsible." McDougal's admission comes after copies of receipts from a liquor store recently began circulating in the community. The receipts show a purchase of $318.77 for tequila, rum and kegs from Spec's Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods in May 2005. Another receipt shows a $113.95 credit from the same store for keg taps and a keg tub. McDougal also said there was a reimbursement for a margarita machine for $139...continue to full post
