HOWARD ZINN TO SPEAK AT THE CEDP CONVENTION

We are proud and honored to announce that historian, author and activist Howard Zinn will be the keynote speaker at the Campaign to End the Death Penalty's 9th annual convention! The convention will be held on the weekend of November 7-8 at the University of Chicago, and Howard will be speaking on Saturday night.The title of this year's convention is "Making the death penalty history." We will host plenaries and workshops throughout the convention that both celebrate our victories, but also discuss and debate questions facing our movement. We will share ideas, brainstorm strategies and probe various aspects of the criminal justice system.Exonerated prisoners and family members will play a prominent role, as they do every year at our convention...continue to full post
