That's the headline from Georgia's Sunday Paper.  The article is subtitled, "State legislature hits old standbys: guns, executions, property taxes and breaking away."The Georgia Legislature has been in session for a few weeks now and, thus far, the bills promising to cause the most controversy read like menu items from a political soul food restaurant--it's all familiar, yet strange. There's legislation declaring that life begins at conception, a bill mandating a swap of property taxes for sales taxes, and another prohibiting human implantation with microchips. Provisions for tax allocation districts and toll lanes that might support Speaker Richardson?s recent pledge for a statewide transportation solution deserve honorable mention...continue to full post
