: ZeroPaidVCDQuality Relaunches, Includes P2P, Game, and PC Releases
By Jared Moya
Site now offers previews of content from P2P groups, as opposed to just “scene” stuff, as well as from new categories like HD formats, Xbox360, Wii, and PC game releases.
VCQuality has undergone a recent dramatic overhaul, and now the site is better than ever. First launched back in 2001, the site, which didn’t really become popular until 2002, now includes previews of content from P2P groups, as opposed to just “scene” stuff, as well as new categories like HD formats, Xbox360, Wii, and PC game releases.
So why use VCDQuality?
“Our main purpose is to provide a platform where people can see what’s “available” out there, read a review of a release, discuss problems with releases, impart advice on getting stuff working (games for example) - anything and everything with the exception of assisting people with the downloading of “warez” really,” says Neversoft, an admin at the site. “VCDQ is and always will be a legal site. It can often be frustrating to download something only to find that it doesn’t work or is unwatchable, especially when some ISP’s cap bandwidth or P2P users have a ratio to consider they sometimes cannot afford to simply “take a chance” on what to download – we help negate that and the more people we get reviewing releases the better the system works for everybody.”
That’s the real reason to use the site, to avoid wasting time, energy, or these days, perhaps precious monthly data allotments, downloading something you probably won’t watch because the quality’s just so poor.
Here’s an example of what to expect from a copy of Shrek Forever After TS XViD IMAGiNE:
Neversoft also says that users can look forward to additional features in the near future like MP3, 0Day, PS3, BluRay.
For longtime users of the site, Neversoft is quick to point out that “VCDQ has changed appearance, but it’s still more-or-less the same staff that people have learnt to hate over the years.”
As a reminder, the relaunched site is still in beta so things are still being changed and tweaked a bit.
In any event, I think VCDQuality is definitely worth regularly visiting, especially if you’re file-sharing on a regular basis.
By the way, speaking of “VCD quality,” isn’t it nice to know we don’t have to burn video content onto CDs anymore? Early P2P was wild west-style fun, but I wouldn’t give up my BluRay-filled ext 1TB HDD for anything.
Stay tuned.
