: ACS BlogNoting ACS's Extensive Ideas For New Administration
The Washington Post, in an article examining the growth of ACS, highlighted a number individuals affiliated with ACS who have been appointed or nominated to the new administration, including ACS Board of Directors member Eric H. Holder Jr., and former ACS Executive Director Lisa Brown. Paul M. Smith, a partner at Jenner & Block LLP and chair of the ACS Board, told The Post, “What that means is that the organization’s core function of developing and promulgating legal ideas and social policy will have a more receptive audience than it has had in the past eight years.”
The article also noted the extensive package of legal and justice policy proposals produced by ACS for the next administration, which it said was “designed to be a legal roadmap for the next administration.” The package of proposals, “A Fresh Start for a New Administration: Reforming Law and Justice Policies,” is available here.
