A Tool To Help You Find a Job During Your Life After Bankruptcy

By Joseph McDaniel, Esq.

ADVERTISEMENTS
You aren't the only one having trouble finding a meaningful job right now.

Some people were so depressed by their inability to find honest jobs that they went out and became politicians.

But there's a specific group that is, for the first time since the high point in U.S. History (1950), having trouble tracking down a job after graduation.

And that group is....lawyers!

Now, there are a lot of reasons for that. On the one hand, a lawyer right out of school has many useful abilities. The new graduate can...well, no. I lied. A new baby lawyer needs careful guidance for years until she can function properly. Law School normally just teaches you to think like a lawyer (that is, inside the box).

Mind you, none of the above applies to the brilliant and wise Nina the Unpronounceable, because she has had a careful, and intense, apprenticeship of five hundred boring hours in second chair listening to the old guy drone on and on, and since she's smarter than I am, she got really knowledgeable and capable, really fast.

But this discussion isn't about baby lawyers; that's a topic for another blog.

Today's discussion is about a tool you can use to get a better job after you get your bankruptcy discharge, and the harassing creditors and repossession worries and lawsuits are a thing of the past.

But since lawyers are generally smart, and lawyers are looking for tools to help them find jobs, lawyers talk about using tools that most people wouldn't think about for purposes of getting jobs.

Like this article in Lawyerist.com about Twitter as a job search device!

And before you ask, yes, there is life after bankruptcy! And some of my clients tell me that they are enjoying it a lot!
