A judgment is a piece of paper; it gives a creditor additional rights to mess with you.It does not appear by magic, as in "Poof!"
First you get served, either in person or by mail, in connection with most sorts of debts and suits.
The "Summons" will tell you how long you'll have to Answer. If you Answer that everything in the Complaint is true, and you just don't have the money to pay because of unemployment or cancer, that is not a useful Answer for you, although it may very well be true.
If you file a meaningful Answer, or a lawyer files one for you, you will almost certainly not win the lawsuit, assuming that you actually owe the dough; for heaven's sake, this is not television!
But that will buy some time for you to consult an experienced bankruptcy attorney in Arizona so you can plan your next steps, which will probably involve a bankruptcy in Arizona.
