Want a story with Muammar Gaddafi, Donald Trump, Libyans posing as Dutch diplomats (wonder why they got caught?), Diane Sawyer and a giant tent?  Me too.  Here it is:  first, Muammar (can I call him that?)  wants to come to speak to the United Nations, he wants to stay in his tent ? who wants to stay in a fancy hotel in New York anyway?   He tries to rent a place in Central Park, but the New York officials would not let that happen?being stuffy New York officials and all.  They then go to Englewood, New Jersey and try to rent a place in a park there.  No luck.  Then (I guess one doesn?t tell Muammar ?no.?) ?the Libyans posed as Dutch diplomats to rent a Manhattan townhouse that had a large roof that could have accommodated a tent.?  That didn?t happen either.  ?The Libyans apparently [next] used intermediaries to rent Trump’s 113-acre estate called the Seven Springs in the posh Westchester County suburb of Bedford, home to such tyrants of taste as Martha Stewart.?  Done deal, except now, the town of Bedford issued a stop work order since there were no permit for erecting a temporary structure. 

Reactions vary: The Donald claims not to have known who was renting his place, just that they were some of his ?middle east partners.?  Republican State Senator Leibell said: ?Don’t want to see him in my county or my district. There’s not going to be any welcome mat for him in Bedford.”  Diane Sawyer has noted that she has been in Gaddafi?s tent in Libya and that it was perfumed (?ever think people say things just to hear themselves talk?).   Anyway, here is the link: http://abcnews.go.com/International/Politics/gaddafis-tent-blocked-stop-work-order/Story?id=8649084&page=1
