Learning Important Life Lessons.

By Rachel Lynn Foley, Kansas City, MO, Bankruptcy Att

ADVERTISEMENTS

Ralph Waldo Emmerson said; “In order to learn the most important lessons of life, one must each day surmount a fear.”  How true this statement is especially if you are considering filing bankruptcy.  The life lesson we must each face as adults is how to handle our finances.  In handling our finances during these days it can almost seem impossible so you look for help.  One of those avenues of help maybe filing bankruptcy.  However in considering bankruptcy there is fear in filing vs. the fear of how you are going to be able to continue to handle your finances.

How do you combat the fear of handling your fiances and the consideration of bankruptcy?  Knowledge about life lessons.  Knowledge is power and the more knowledge you have about your finances and bankruptcy the less fear you will have.  The Internet and your public library are great resources for knowledge about both of these subjects.

Here are some sites to get you started:  Bankruptcy Law Network, Kiplinger (Resource for finance information), Consumer Reports, American Bankruptcy Institute, Consider Chapter 13, My Money, Armed Forces Crossroads, Forbes as well as many others.

Our lives are made up of a series of moments.  The moments become days which become months that turn into years.   The fear you are facing today did not accumulate over night but rather over moments of time.  Therefore to over come these fears and tackle your problems it will take moments,  days, months and possibly years to turn around your financial situation.  But this is no reason to allow fear to prevent you from seizing your first moment of change.

Today is your today.  In fact this moment is your moment to change your financial future.  Carpe diem and seize this moment!  So please allow me to repeat myself. Knowledge is power and the more knowledge you have about your finances and bankruptcy the less fear you will have.
