They are odd.  They are ends.  They are odds and ends.

  • Welcome to the Blogosphere.  Appellate Review is a nice blog that talks about circuit splits, stuff that real lawyers care about.
  • What do you get when you pay $4,300? Although I am steadfastly in favor of legalization of prostitution (and criminalizing professional networking, general sucking up and flirting with professors and employers), many people are asking what you get when you pay $4,300 for a callgirl.  Now you can look very smart at the office water cooler, when, after reading this article in the Washington Post, you will know.
  • U.S. To Adopt Caste System.  Details here.
  • Pre-trial depositions and the confrontation clause. In Florida, even the kind of people that get themselves arrested get to take pre-trial depositions of cops?  Just think of that, cops need to show up at the office of the lawyer of the guy they peppersprayed and answer questions.  But, do these depositions satisfy the confrontation clause.  No.  The Confrontration Blog reports on a Decision of the Florida Supreme Court here.
  • Bashing public defenders for profit?  The California law firm of Wallin and Klarich bashes public defenders with amusing typos.  A Public Defender reports.
