GIMMICKS: Obama Seeks Line-Item Veto. Leaving aside the constitutionality question, does anybody actually think this will be used to slash spending, as opposed to simply being another way to punish political opponents through abuse of Presidential authority? After the tax-audit joke, among many, many other examples, my confidence is limited.
