: Practical ParalegalismNCPA Supports NC Highway Patrol Teddy Bear Drive
By Lynne DeVenny
The North Carolina Highway Patrol has also collected teddy bears for needy children at Christmas, and to give to children who are victims of motor vehicle collisions and other traumatic events.
I've seen a number of paralegal and bar associations organize collection drives to take place simultaneously with meetings and CLEs. Items collected have ranged from winter coats for needy children, canned food for community food pantries, and books for area reading programs. These are great ideas for paralegal service projects that can be successfully undertaken by most groups, regardless of size or budget.
