Saturday LOL: Avoid Medical Malpractice, Perform Your Own Gastric Bypass

Recently, Mom-alegal shared one of the downsides of specializing in medical malpractice, which is pretty much fearing all interactions with the medical community and convincing yourself that the worst medical mistakes will happen to you. Let's not even talk about premises liability cases. After I worked on a case that had a successful outcome about a decade ago, the towering shelves at retail superstores scared the bejeebies out of me for years afterward.

So when I saw that Amazon sells (or sold) a Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Kit, I had to wonder who's buying this stuff  'sides licensed physicians. Buyer beware, you can't sue yourself for medical malpractice, 'specially if you don't survive the procedure.

Darn it, it's currently unavailable! Curses on the FDA!

Cracked.com helpfully shared the wittiest customer reviews for "8 Stupid Amazon Products With Impressively Sarcastic Reviews". You medical malpractice specialists will enjoy Mr. Guch's review of the bypass kit:

The instructions that come with this product are just terrible. Even though I did everything according to the book, I had about seven pieces left over. I'm sure they're useful for something, but I can't figure out what.

I dunno if the pieces left over were part of the kit - or body parts. If it was body parts, the object is to lose weight. If you're still using the computer and writing in complete sentences after using the kit, then we'll conclude the procedure was a success.
