Grab N' Go Bikini Espresso Stand is Now Grab N' Gone

By John P. Ahlers

ADVERTISEMENTS

Some of you who have been watching the news or reading the paper lately are probably wondering how the construction law firm of Ahlers & Cressman PLLC has its name associated with the risqué coffee stand that was shut down on Thursday, February 10, 2011. To quote a famous radio personality, here is the "rest of the story":

Larry Glosser, a partner with the firm of Ahlers & Cressman PLLC, represents a businesswoman who owned the kiosk and then sold it Bill Wheeler (now missing). Wheeler converted the conventional stand into a "bikini barista" outlet. The stand has been no stranger to headlines. Snohomish County required that Wheeler obtain an adult entertainment license because the scantily clad baristas were allegedly offending the sensibilities of its Everett patrons. When Wheeler defaulted on his loan to the former owner represented by Larry Glosser, Glosser foreclosed on the debt and executed on the espresso stands. In an early morning raid akin to a tactical military maneuver Larry, accompanied by four Snohomish County Sheriff's Deputies, showed up with a lowboy, tow truck, electrician, and plumbers. In two hours, the stand was loaded onto a truck and hauled off. In the words of the participants and observers, Mr. Glosser accomplished what law enforcement has not been able to do: shut the stands down. Glosser generously allowed the lingerie clad woman selling coffee that morning to retrieve her tip jar from the kiosk before it was hauled off. Now you know the rest of the story.
