More Details on the ABA?s New Website

By Robert Ambrogi

ADVERTISEMENTS

Following up on my post earlier today, Extreme Makeover, New URL, for ABA Website, there is an article by James Podgers in the ABA Journal that provides more details about the ABA’s current and future plans for the site.

The article says that the redesign unveiled today is just the first phase of a longer-term effort to streamline the site, fill it with more content relevant to practicing lawyers, and improve its look and feel.

Robert A. Clifford, the Chicago lawyer who cahirs the ABA Website Oversight Task Force, told Podgers that the new site “is a living, breathing entity now. This will be an ongoing process.”

Notably, Clifford says that one goal of the project has been to create consistency throughout the site in place of the balkanized approach that allowed various ABA entities to go their own ways in content and format.

“The stakeholders must come to grips that on some aspects we’re a nation of one rather than a federation of semi-autonomous groups,” Clifford said.
