FEBRUARY 18TH DEADLINE

Who wants to be the local Regional Conflict Counsel?Attorneys and others in the 17th Circuit hope it goes to anyone other than Philip Massa, the current honcho of the local Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel (OCCCRC).  Massa seems to be universally despised around here, although it remains to be seen if anyone will challenge him for his $98,000 per annum crown.  The deadline for applications for the next four year term closes February 18th.So how about it?  We're told a groundswell of support will rally around qualified candidates, potentially including access to the Governor's office.  People are mad as hell, and they don't want to take it anymore.Click here for the Florida Bar's announcement and instructions, and for info on the Supreme Court JNC members who will be sending the names up to Rick Scott...continue to full post
