Newspapers Around the Word

By admin

I had a wonderful time at the Newseum in DC last June. Here’s a cool thing they do on their website:

“Through a special agreement with more than 800 newspapers worldwide, the Newseum displays these front pages each day on its website. The front pages are in their original, unedited form, and some may contain material that is deemed objectionable to some visitors.”

Check out this map based app:

Today’s Front Pages

You can see front pages from:

United States
North America
Asia
Caribbean
Europe
Middle East
Oceania
South America
Africa

With the need for multiple viewpoints on world events, this is a cool way to review the reportage around the world. It would make an awesome current events session every morning in a high school class on a smartboard!

Check it out.
