SEC CHARGES ATTORNEY WITH AIDING IN MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR FRAUD

By James Eccleston

ADVERTISEMENTS

The SEC recently charged Jonathan Star Bristol, an attorney for former financial advisor Kenneth Ira Starr, with aiding and abetting in the multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme perpetrated by Starr.

The SEC alleged that Bristol allowed Starr to funnel more than $25 million of funds belonging to Starr?s clients through Bristol?s attorney trust accounts without the client?s authorization.  Bristol would then transfer the stolen funds to Starr and the companies he controlled.

The SEC had previously charged Kenneth Ira Starr, Starr Investment Advisors, LLC and Starr & Company, LLC with perpetrating a $59 million fraud, which involved high net worth investors and celebrities. Starr spent the majority of the investor funds to support his lavish lifestyle.

Eccleston Law represents individual and institutional investors to recover their investment losses caused by securities and investment fraud. Our attorneys also help victims of Ponzi schemes pursue recovery by submitting claims with receiverships established by the SEC or by assisting victims with the filing of a Theft Loss Tax Deduction with the IRS.

If you have lost money investing in a Ponzi scheme, please contact Jim Eccleston at the Eccleston Law Offices at 312-332-0000.
