Avoid Bankruptcy the Easy Way!

By Joseph McDaniel, Esq.

ADVERTISEMENTS
Apparently, many folks who file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, or any other sort of bankruptcy, do so because they have some trouble paying all their bills, and also eating.

Silly eaters!

But that would suggest that the easy way to avoid bankruptcy of any kind is simply to make more money!

And apparently, the easiest way to double your income is to work for the Federal Government.

According to USA Today, federal workers earn twice the amount paid to their private sector counterparts! And the article even has little bar charts!

The amounts in question are pretty interesting.

The average worker in private industry earns, with salary and benefits, about $61,051.00 in total compensation during the course of the year, while their federal counterparts earn, on average, $123,049.00.

Now, I'm just checking here: does that mean that the average couple, when both are working for the Federal Government, make a total compensation package of about $246,000?

And if those numbers are correct, does that mean that they are "rich", for purposes of taxation?

Now, this is really a tempest in a teapot, because I'm sure that the ratios have changed since the numbers came out in 2009.

I'm sure that workers in the private sector got a big raise in 2010, right?

p.s. and you know, I think those folks at TSA earn every penny. Am I right or am I right?
