The PR and Promotions Committee are delighted to announce the winner of the 2010 Dissertation Award. The Dissertation Award was first awarded in 2009 and is offered to any library school student who submits the best dissertation on a corporate or legal topic.

The winner of the award this year is Caroline Goulding (née Williams) . Caroline, who is Head of Knowledge and Information Strategy (jobshare) at the Ministry of Justice, completed her MSc Econ LIS in the Department of Information Studies, Aberystwyth University.

Ms Williams presented a small-scale, illustrative, qualitative study of the landscape for, and roles available to information professionals within the private and public sectors, focusing specifically on organisations that provide a legal service.
