The attached link to a video clip shows a remarkable building project in China. http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/11/15/video-of-deadly-shanghai-fire/?ref=asia. The 15 story hotel was erected in six (6) days, a truly triumphant feat. Regrettably, this week also brought us news of a tragic fire in Shanghai. Initial indications of building codes failures in part due to China's unprecedented construction boom are being blamed for this loss of life.
