: AlthouseA thought experiment on intelligence and the presidency.
ADVERTISEMENTS
A hypothetical: The next President of the United States will be chosen from the group of individuals with whom you have worked in your field ? your colleagues/co-workers. (I'm especially interested in hearing from law professors!) Assume there is a method that allows these individuals to be ranked from most intelligent to least intelligent. You cannot look at this list, but you are assured that the ranking is accurate. The President will be chosen randomly from one segment of this list, and you have been given the power to choose a segment constituting 10% of the individuals on the list. That 10% will be the pool for what will be a random drawing. What do you choose? The top 10%?Full post as published by Althouse on November 19, 2010 (boomark / email).
