While most of us had to wait to get our hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops, two armed robbers got to preview the game early, thanks to some real world guns and ammo. According to the The Baltimore Sun, two men armed with semi-automatic handguns robbed a GameStop in Bel Air, Maryland on Saturday, scoring more than 100 retail copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops. The robbery was premeditated, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office
Sheriffs say that the robbery was timed for when the GameStop in Bel Air was about to close Saturday night. The men stole four cases full of the game, cash and some other undisclosed video games.
No doubt Activision has a way of tracking these games, particularly if someone buys one and plays it online. I guess people do not really think about how much easier it is to track stolen items like console systems and games.
