California: U.S. House CDs 11, 20, Attorney General.
Kentucky U.S. House CD 6: Headed for a recount.
Minnesota Governor: County Canvassing Boards must complete their vote counts by 12 November; the State Canvassing Board meets on 23 November to certify the result (only then will it be seen whether or not an automatic recount [only required if the difference between candidates is less than 0.5%] in this race will be authorized).

The corrected vote shows Mr. Altschuler leading by 400 votes with 9,000 absentee votes yet to be counted. - Lessons of Lexington, 1775
by Dan Eichenbaum
On the night of April 18, 1775, the lantern?s alarm sent Revere, William Dawes and other riders on the road to spread the news. The messengers cried out the alarm, awakening every house, warning of the British column making its way towards Lexington. In the rider?s wake there erupted the peeling of church bells, the beating of drums and the roar of gun shots ? all announcing the danger and calling the local militias to action. After that first successful skirmish, our founders endured unimaginable hardships, lost battles, emotional despair, and a debilitating winter at Valley Forge, until Washington?s final victory at Yorktown. The battles of Lexington and Concord were just the beginning of America?s struggle for freedom.
November 2, 2010, was our Battle of Lexington Green, our ?shot heard ?round the world.? Will we have the courage and determination to fight on to win total victory?
The forces of Progressive Socialism will not spend much time licking their wounds. I have no doubt, nor should any of you, that they will double their efforts to take control our government and continue their assault on our Constitution. Armed with massive funding from their puppet masters, they will use misdirection and prevarication to convince the American people that the administration?s spending spree was only in response to the crisis they inherited from their perennial scapegoat, George Bush. The President?s response to his party?s electoral drubbing was to lament not having done a better job explaining his program to the people. After all, who wouldn?t be in favor of a socialist takeover of General Motors, the home mortgage industry, the banking industry, the student loan program, the healthcare industry, and our nation?s energy resources by the Federal Government? Haven?t they been willing to compromise and work across the aisle for the past two years even though they held a majority in both houses of congress? If we all weren?t so dumb, we could stop clinging to our guns and our religion long enough to trust the self-anointed smartest people on earth to tell us all how to eat and live.
It?s not the message, Mr. President. It?s the agenda.
As grassroots patriots, however, we must also realize that our inside allies, the Republican members of Congress, are not all as dedicated to constitutional principles as we. Without our constant observation, many will be tempted by the party establishment to stray from the promises made to get elected. They will be co-opted by the trappings of power, threats of ostracism, and the obscene amount of lobbyist and PAC money needed for re-election.
Let me be clear to those newly elected and those re-elected members of Congress.
I will accept no compromise with the principles of limited government, individual freedom, personal responsibility, fiscal restraint, and free market economy.
I will accept no compromise with those who deny the supremacy of the individual states and the people, as specified by Article I, Section 8 (the enumerated powers) and the Ninth and Tenth Amendments that limit the size and scope of the Federal Government.
I will accept no compromise with those who would abuse any portion of the Constitution, specifically the Commerce Clause and the Fourteenth Amendment, to expand the size and power of the Federal Government beyond what was envisioned by our founders and that which is constitutionally permitted.
I will accept no compromise with those who deny that our Rights are Natural Law Rights, derived from our creator, ours by dint of our humanity and that it is the duty and obligation of all governments to protect and secure those rights, not to abridge, amend, or restrict them.
I will accept no attempt to compromise in repealing legislation, rules, and regulations that serve to enlarge the size and power of the Federal Government at the cost of fiscal responsibility, free market economic principles, and personal freedom.
I will accept no attempt to compromise in the elimination of earmarks and special exemptions from taxes and laws used to reward political contributions, to favor one group over another, and to buy votes.
I will accept no compromise in efforts to decrease the size and cost of government, to balance the budget, and to prevent the use taxpayer dollars as a bail out for corporations and states that are deemed ?too big to fail?.
Congress, we are watching you.
The election of 2010 is the first battle in our revolutionary war to regain the freedoms stolen from us by oppressively intrusive federal and state governments and to restore in our nation the constitutional republic that is our heritage.
That is the lesson of Lexington, 1775. The future of our nation and our children?s freedom can only be assured by our vigilance.

- Nullification Ordered for State Government Officials
Thanks to Rob, on our facebook fan page, for the idea.
Dear Mr. Corbett,I have just ordered you a copy of ?Nullification: How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century?, by Dr. Thomas E. Woods, Jr.. It should arrive to PO Box 1145 in Harrisburg, PA within the next week.
As you may know, Dr. Woods is a highly regarded scholar and NY Times best selling author who works with the Mises Institute. Dr. Woods has a BA from Harvard and PhD from Columbia University.
I believe that this book covers a necessary course of action for our state in order to restore balance to our republic and to resist the relentless march towards federal tyranny in America within the next two or three generations. As a Pennsylvania citizen, I would ask you to please read his book with an open mind. Contrary to what you may read in the popular press, nullification is neither racist nor lawless. Rather, it has a long history of use in defense of liberty and is a way for the states to ensure that the federal government power remains within the agreed boundaries laid down by the U.S. Constitution.

Governor Perry also discussed his latest book Fed Up that blasts DC policies.
- Higher Taxes Looming in Lame Duck
The greatest threat to conservatives in the Lame Duck Congress is a tax increase. The President?s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform is expected to issue a report on December 1st. Conservatives should be very worried that this commission will advocate tax increases as a means to balance the budget.
There is also a plan to decouple the Bush Tax cuts to make it easier for tax cuts for job creators to expire in a few years. If the Obama Administration does not back away from the original plan to preserve lower taxes on those earning under $250K a year and allow taxes to increase on higher earners, there may be a stalemate. Stalemate equals increased taxes on all Americans.
The President?s Commission has been very secretive and has not allowed details of any proposed plans to leak to the press. Conservatives worry that they have been very secretive, because they didn?t want planned new tax increases to leak out to the American people before the election. Two Senators waited until just after the election to request that the Commission adopt a radically increased gas tax.
The Hill reports:
Sens. Tom Carper (D-Del.) and George Voinovich (R-Ohio) have written to the chairmen of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform advocating for a 25-cent per gallon tax increase. ?We suggest that the commission include an increase in the federal tax on gasoline and diesel as part of your report to the president,? they wrote. ?We suggest that the taxes be increased by one cent per month for 25 months ? a total of 25 cents over a three-year period.?
The current federal gas tax is at 18.4 cents per gallon. The Carper-Voinovich plan would increase the gas tax by one cent every month for the next 25 months. The Hill reports that this ?the tax increase, when fully implemented, would cost drivers on average $156 a year, or $13 extra per month.? Adding a new tax burden on the already overtaxed American public is a big mistake.
As the President?s Commission weighs new tax increases, a debate over whether to allow the 2001/2003 tax cuts expire on January 1, 2011 seems to have hit a road block. The Obama Administration has a new plan to squash all of the Bush Tax cuts with the exception of those for middle income earners by splitting the issue into two parts. Curtis Dubay of The Heritage Foundation explains new tax plan as follows:
Their new plan, according to Politico, is to raise the threshold of what is ?rich? from $250,000 of annual income for a family to $500,000 or $1 million. The second stage of the plan is to permanently separate the middle-income tax cuts from the tax cuts for the rich. They would do this by permanently extending the tax cuts for middle-income taxpayers and only temporarily extending them for the rich.
This would be an attempt to decouple the issues, so that the President could veto any efforts by Congress to preserve current tax rates on job creators without impacting the Obama favored tax brackets. This is a trap that liberals are setting to make sure they get rid of tax cuts for higher earners in a year or two.
As so many conservatives have pointed out, this federal government does not have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. New tax increases and allowing the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts to expire would run contrary to the will of the American people. The American people voted to keep taxes low, to cut federal spending and to repeal ObamaCare ? when will Washington listen.

- DeMint: Defunding ObamaCare Top of Republican Agenda
Senator Jim DeMint was one of the folks on the the Sunday talking heads shows this weekend. He put it very simply.
The Republicans intend to defund Obamacare:
The senator said, ?We have to stop the funding of Obamacare and over the next two years show the American people what the real options are to improve the system we have now.?
?The first step is obviously to ? to defund it. And I think we can do that with Republicans controlling the House,? DeMint said. ?I think the next Republican running for president needs to run on complete repeal of Obamacare.?
That?s really the only option. They could waste their time trying to repeal it, but why? Obama has a veto waiting for any repeal bill.
DeMint is correct in calling for a total repeal, but he wasn?t the only one that hit the nail on the head.
Also appearing the program, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said, ?It?s put up or shut up time for our party. We lost our way the last decade.?
?We?re doing it in New Jersey,? he said, ?smaller government, less spending, less regulation, lower taxes.?
Yes, yes, yes and yes.
There?s a way to knock out two of those in one action. Get rid of the IRS and implement the Fair Tax. That would also be a HUGE boost to the economy.
If I can keep my whole check, it?s probable I?m going to spend more, which is much nicer than having the IRS take it before I touch it, launder it in some Washington bureaucracy and then give it back to me as a ?stimulus.?
I?m honestly surprised I haven?t heard more about the Fair Tax. It?s a Tea Party favorite.
