A Los Angeles jury has awarded a local man $1.68 million in a lawsuit filed against a scuba diving charter company that left him in the Pacific Ocean 12 miles off shore. According to the suit, the man was diving with Ocean Adventures Dive Co. in 2004. He claims the boat left him at the first dive site and navigated to another site seven miles away. The man was reported missing about three hours later and was picked up by another passing boat.
