(Becca is sleepy and fussing while Dan rocks her in the glider.)

Me: Sing her a song, she likes that.
Dan: Hush little baby, don't say a word...Papa's gonna buy you a rocking bird...
Me: It's MOCKING bird -
Dan: And if that mockingbird don't sing...Daddy's gonna slap anyone who corrects him...
Me: I just thought that was obvious.
Dan: And if that diamond ring turns brass, Daddy's gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke, Daddy's gonna buy you a lyric he doesn't know.
Me: I suggest a song you actually know.
Dan: (different tune) Hush little baby, don't say a word...And never mind that noise you heard, it's just the beast underneath your bed, in your closet, in your head...
Me: Uhh....
Dan: Ehhhhxit light! Ennnnter night! Taaaake my hand....off to never-never land!
Me: Nice lullaby.
