: Hoboken Law BlogMarciano Law welcomes Brian Rader: Our New Legal Associate, NFL Certified Agent and Hoboken Resident
By Frank Marciano, Esq.
Brian?s first day of working the Weekend and first day at the Office.
Here at The Marciano Law Firm we?re proud to announce the newest member of our team, Brian Rader, Esq. who comes to us from a year-long clerkship with New Jersey Superior Court Judge Mary K. Costello. Brian assisted Judge Costello on personal injury, breach of contract and malpractice claims and mediated complaints between litigants as part of a program to settle lawsuits without litigation.
?Judge Costello was a mentor to me,? Brian says. ?She taught me about the law and how to listen and connect with people. She treats everyone with the utmost respect and in return is very well-respected. I will miss my time with her?.
Besides law, Brian?s other passion is sports. Brian recently was sworn in as a certified NFL Contract Advisor/Agent and hopes to build upon his prior experience working within the NFL Legal Department. In fact, while attending night classes at Seton Hall Law School, Brian worked days for the National Football League (NFL) in their in-house legal department. He handled licensing and sponsorship contracts, talent agreements, coaches? contracts and assisted with NFL hearings where players appealed fines for alleged misconduct.
Brian graduated from Seton Hall Law School in the spring of 2009 and passed the New York and New Jersey Bar Exams that summer. A resident of Hoboken since 2007 he soon decided that he not only wanted to continue living in Hoboken after graduation but also practice law there. It was his can do spirit that led him to simply show up at Frank?s office one evening, without a resume, without an appointment and just offering to work for the experience if not the money.
?When Brian first came and spoke to me about working for my firm, he was refreshingly different from most others seeking work because he wasn?t concerned with how much money he would make,? Frank say. ?He only wanted a commitment from me that he would work with clients. He wanted to help people and learn the law and I am proud to hire someone with the integrity and honesty that Brian exhibits in all his actions. In a small town like Hoboken, your reputation does precede you and I am sure that Brian?s enthusiasm and good humor will serve him well as he meets the people of Hoboken.
?The first time I met Frank, we really hit it off,? Brian says. ?He has that Italian Hoboken charm mixed with a modern sensibility about people and technology. I was amazed at how the newest technology was used throughout his practice. Everything is digital: faxes, phone messages letters and files are all available at a touch of your finger. At the same time Frank treats each client and his staff with respect and dignity. We have the same philosophy, the same passion and we laugh at each other?s jokes, what could be better. Television may have Boston Legal but I am part of Hoboken Law!!!
Brian ends by saying ?Passion is a big part of living. I don?t think it can be taught. It?s about finding what you love to do and doing things for the right reasons. I found what I love to do and I?m very excited about the future here at The Marciano Law Firm.?
