Robbie Bach to be honored at Nite to Unite for Kids 2010

Robbie Bach will be honored at the annual ESA Foundation's Nite to Unite charity dinner October 20. Bach is this year's honoree for the work he does on behalf of children's groups, according to the ESA. Nite to Unite is a $500 per ticket charitable event that donates all of its proceeds to children's charities. Over the last 12 years the ESA Foundation has raised an estimated $11 million dollars through the Night to Unite dinners as well as through the sale of special game packs.

Bach's selection as this year's honoree comes as no surprise to anyone that has followed his work on behalf of children; He helped create the "Get Game Smart campaign," which helps educate families on managing media consumption in the home, and he is a chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Board of Governors, where he promotes learning about technology to young members.
