Support For The Angola Three Appears To Be Growing Men Placed In Solitary Confinement For Upwards Of Three Decades By Val Wilson Story Mar 19, 2008 Watch The Video-- http://www.nbc33tv.com/news/local/16841931.html Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox have been held in solitary confinement at Angola State Penitentiary since the murder of a prison guard back in 1972. A third man -- Robert King -- was placed in isolation for allegedly killing a fellow inmate. He was released in 2001. State Representative Cedric Richmond, of New Orleans, says the men were wrongfully convicted. He will lead a press conference Thursday morning on the steps of the State Capitol.
