Bentzen "Pennant" is Parked at 100% Bounce Rate

By John Darer

Tumbleweed
Rhonda Bentzen's blog is like a tumbleweed drifting through a ghost town, a pennant of decay flapping in the park. While I am "honored" that Ms. Bentzen has chosen to devote her company website to rambling random nonsensical comments of me, one has to wonder why the woman is not more professional in her writings.  After all, Bentzen holds the blog out as her corporate website.

According to Alexa the Bentzen "pennant" has a 1 month bounce rate of 100% and a 3 month bounce rate of 95%. While those may be great test scores, what this really means is that virtually every visitor to her site in the last 3 months has left after visiting the first page. For the 3 months, the average visitor spent 80 seconds on the site while over the past month that number has dropped to a pitiful 20 seconds. Eother her vistors are top graduates of the Evenlyn Wood Speed Reading Course or they have discovered anm even faster way to egress.

Given the woman's high place in "Society"...of Settlement Planners one wonders why she does not lift a finger to educate the public about her industry in this medium like most of her competitors do. Bentzen's competitors do a far better job of educating the public, even the companies in the factoring industry that I choose to criticize from time to time in this forum. Furthermore, as has been reported here, some do a far better job of the business that Bentzen aspires to do, which is getting those in unfortunate circumstances the best deal on a lump sum of cash for the transfer of structured settlement payment rights. Bentzen's business model is withering on the vine as a result.

The lack of effort as evidenced by her infrequent and irrelevant writing simply suggests that Bentzen does not care about having a professional website and, in my opinion, may be an indication of much bigger issues. The fact that the woman was communicating in writing to our industry members that she could offer what appears to be securities product without a license speaks volumes.  It underscores why knowing what I know now, I would never recommend that any attorney, any annuitant or any industry professional do business with her.

Enough of that, now its off to the "park" to fly my own "pennant" with a cute little poodle
