AT&T says that net neutrality is oppressive and that it supports Google and Verizon's recommendations released last week. The recommendations to lawmakers and the FCC faced widespread criticism from net groups and political organizations that support net neutrality - including a protest at Google headquarters. Google defended its proposal, which had so many loopholes for telecoms and a disqualification for wireless carriers that those who once thought Google a friend of net neutrality threw their catch phrase - "don't be evil" - back in their corporate mugs.
