On the Evolution of Law Porn.

By Dan Markel, Ethan Leib, Rick Garnett, Matt Bodie, Paul Horwitz , Steve Vladeck, and Orly Lobel

ADVERTISEMENTS
Earlier today, I received an email from Denver U's law dean sharing recent developments there. Quintessential Law Porn, but in my email inbox, rather than snail mail.  It was the first time I've received this so far as I can recall. Anyway, I'm not sure if it was a general email or targeted to folks like me for USNews b/c i'm most recently tenured on the faculty. But: assuming you'll have to deal with law porn, would you prefer to get such law porn in your inbox for email or regular mail? Or both?

My own quick reactions: I thought it was fine, no more intrusive than regular law porn, which I frequently consume with quick non-zero interest. The email had links if I wanted more info (but some of them seemed dead links, which is sub-optimal.)  In any event, I wonder if others feel this is counter-productive from the point of view of trying to influence US News judges, etc. Any thoughts? Please feel free to discuss in the comments.
