McClintock joins Glaser Weil in L.A.

Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro, LLP, has announced that Greg McClintock has become an Of Counsel member of the Firm. Mr. McClintock has more than 35 years of experience in the field of environmental law, much of it related to issues impacting the energy, aerospace and waste management industries.

Among other accomplishments, Mr. McClintock played a leading role in negotiating the consent decrees that govern private sector clean-up obligations at many of the major federal Superfund sites in California. He also participated in a number of cases that established defining legal principles with respect to such major environmental laws as the Clean Air Act, CERCLA and RCRA by the courts.

From 1991 to 2006, one of Mr. McClintock's responsibilities was to act as General Counsel to the Western States Petroleum Association, a role in which he provided legal guidance and litigation support with respect to the broad range of environmental issues impacting oil and gas operations in the western United States. More recently, he served as a member of the team that spearheaded the environmental due diligence review with respect to the hundreds of landfills and related operations acquired by Republic Services, Inc. in connection with its 2008 merger with Allied Waste Industries to form the second largest waste management and environmental services company in the nation.

Mr. McClintock has been recognized by Chambers USA, Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers and Who's Who Legal as one of the leading environmental, natural resources and energy law practitioners in Southern California. He has also been listed by Euromoney Legal Group as one of the world's top environmental attorneys.
