Why is The Bill Collector on Your Credit Card Accounts More Dangerous than the Vampires on "True Blood"?

By Joseph McDaniel, Esq.

ADVERTISEMENTS
There's a guilty pleasure television series called "True Blood" about a pretty blond girl who dates vampires and werewolves.

If you think a television soap opera with fangs, you won't be far off.

So why is the collector for the credit card company more dangerous than the vampires on the "True Blood" series?

First, of course, because he's real, not imaginary (didn't see that one coming, did you?).

And second, because the imaginary vampires have a rational economic motive for keeping you alive by moderating their demand for your blood, so they can come back for more, later.

The guy collecting for the credit card company just doesn't care.

You did see that one coming, didn't you?

On the other hand, I suppose the automatic stay won't stop a vampire, so it may all balance out.

p.s. It always surprises me and makes me sad when a pretty blond girl falls for a vampire with a smooth pickup line. Did she learn nothing from Buffy?
