A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the city of Blue Island, Ill., over the drowning of a man at an after-hours pool party at a local swimming pool. According to the lawsuit, the man drowned at a party held by the Blue Island Park District and that alcohol was openly consumed in the pool area while there were no lifeguards on duty. the man’s body was not found until the next morning. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
